Arrival, train to the city, and getting into our rental apartment took far too long with a couple of kids in tow.

Just to make it more interesting, the moderate barotrauma I incurred on descent ended up rolling all the way into a freaking ruptured eardrum. If you’re never had the experience: avoid it. It’s painful and gross.

Needless to say, sleep was…not very successful.

So: a very long day ended in an extended whimper (from me). Not the most auspicious start.
